A "superhero" among "normal" people?

All that's necessary for the forces of evil to win in the world is for enough good men to do nothing.
Edmund Burke

In the 21st Century, where we have access to all and everything we want (either by just going out and grabbing it or by keying down some words in our preferred search engine) we are being confronted several times a day to choose between taking a good decision or not.

It is a very old dichotomy that has been around the most brilliant minds of our generations and resolved by the most humble ones.

Having the choice means in the first place, that we hold the freedom to do so, and act according to it. Also that we are  - somehow - aware of the consequences of such decision, and that we are going to live with such events for the rest of our lives.

Doing the right thing is not always as straightforward as it may sound, doing good may be dependent on the value scale that we hold for ourselves, the social context, the situational context and the last results. So, we need some framework that can give us some hints about whether we are acting on behalf of the "good side" or not.

The beauty of a superhero is that he or she is inherently good, meaning that, at least in the old days, we would not see a "goodie" doing the "evil dance", nowadays we face some more humane stuff, like the bad-good character or the good-betraying one (there is always a justification to such twists in the stories and why is needed to make them more appealing), but let's stand with the original idea.

A superhero then is a human, or a former human, performing actions of goodwill without looking for recognition or money. Sounds very utopian, but it is a matter of just going out to the latest movies and see what all those mythical characters are doing with all their jumping around the screen. But there is something more important, and that is, the people that go to watch this stories. How they enjoy them and how we can be inspired by these role models to try something on our own.

Just let's take the "characterization" and the "weapon development" out of the way. It is a matter of attitude and stand for what we believe is good. For our lives and ourselves. It is a matter of shining with our own actions and taking the right choices.

Inside each one of us lies the ability to create or to destroy, and we always have that option. Don't let the false sense of piety deceive you. Don't fool yourself.

Make something great of the world around you.

Any ideas?

Learning in a protected environment

Every time we go outside and experiment with something new, we keep some part of us in a warning state.

You know, just in case we just and miserably fail, and we need to get away and take cover in a safe place. When we are out in the wild, we always have the possibility to face this situation. We are always in the position of being caught uncovered and thus we are always close to be exposed.

Now, exposition is not always as bad as it sounds. Artists, writers, performers, politicians, and a large amount of people are always in that position, whereas, others are only exposed on specific moments and situations.

So, how do we make it good?

First of all it is always good to be sure of who you are and that by being that you are always being "seen" by other people. No problem, seeing is something we cannot avoid, we just do it and information just flows from our eyes into our brain. No hassle, no intermediate state, nothing.

The interpretation is what we actually fear, is not being seen at all, but we are very aware of what others may be thinking about us. That is why we dress the way we do, that is why we talk the way we do, move the way we do, and so, and so.

But then, in that concept lies the beauty of it.

One wise man, who lived in Breslov, said once: "...Through Joy, you free your soul from all kinds of inner problems, both physical and spiritual."

What he was trying to teach us?

That we have no need of other people to enjoy each moment in life, that we make it through our attitude towards it and that we need to be at ease with ourselves.

Have you seen that a baby, a toddler, when he/she starts walking, he falls very often, but also he laughs every time he does?

Why is that? Because he is not caring about what other people think about what just happened, he is only enjoying the experimentation on a new and exiting universe. He is only growing up and he is not afraid of the process, but focused on the results.

What about you? And some experimentation of your own?

Be free today and make the best of you.

Quantum and Learning, what is that?

When you start  something, let's say cooking or playing a game you never go and just play it or just put the thing in the oven, instead you start a process of understanding what you have at hand or what you're supposed to do, what is your immediate goal and which ones are the middle and the last one.

That is called building blocks or, in other words some "Quanta" which will serve later for a bigger purpose.

A Quantum is a small pack that contains all the information related with a single unit of energy, in our case, that will be our units of learning so, that in the long term we can build a whole spectrum of stuff with our new language abilities.

Another great part of building this, is that we can add as much quanta as we like and we can also modify them in order to have a better experience.

Hope you like it and become a part of the learning experience of your life.
